Providing Advice and Support: Friends of the Horn Foundation CIC (FOHOF) aims to provide comprehensive advice and support to disadvantaged communities and non-English speaking individuals residing in the London boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Merton, Wandsworth, as well as other London and UK-wide British Somali communities. This support includes assistance in areas such as education, employment, housing, healthcare, and integration into society.
Addressing the Cost of Living Crisis: FOHOF is currently experiencing an overwhelming demand for support from service users facing cost-of-living crisis.
Early Intervention and Prevention of Knife and Violent Crimes: FOHOF is committed to creating an environment where early intervention takes place before young people become involved in knife and violent crimes.
Our work in the Horn of Africa (HoA) focuses on fostering an enabling environment through the development and implementation of responsive policy frameworks, the strengthening of institutional capacities, and the provision of tools and targeted skills development for public sector personnel to enhance their effectiveness. We also design and lead community-driven advocacy campaigns aimed at transforming societal attitudes and promoting inclusive participation—particularly advancing the role of women in political and administrative decision-making at all levels.
Fohof’s work ranges from capacity building, development, women in politics, elections, and democratization and training to strategic communication (public relations), which is one of our core services.
Fohof will do this in partnership with world-class European and American institutions and academics who will provide all the relevant training. Fohof also provides consultancy services, including strategic communication from the design stage to deployment.
Water purification systems: FOHOF sources and donates total water purification systems sourced from UK and distributes to Climate Challenge Affected “Internally Displaced People’s Camps in many parts of HoA”
